Children’s Mental Health Resource Center

The Children’s Mental Health Resource Center is a collaboration of Zumbro Valley Mental Health Center, Olmsted County Community Services and Family Service Rochester that provides a series of support services to families of children with severe emotional disturbances.  An early intervention program also is available to support families with challenging preschool children.

Children living in Olmsted County who meet the following criteria are eligible for the program:

  • Identified with a severe emotional disturbance
  • Classified as at risk of being placed or admitted to an inpatient or residential treatment program
  • Determined to be experiencing seriously impaired functioning at home, school or the community as a result of their severe emotional disturbance
  • Involved in two or more systems of care
