“Having worked with Zumbro Valley Mental Health Center in a variety of ways over the past 25 years, I have come to appreciate particularly the many programs and support services which complement those offered by the Mayo Clinic Department of Psychiatry and Psychology… ZVMHC has an important role to play and we all benefit from its success.”

Moving to a new campus that integrates the majority of services will create new synergies for programs that will allow more holistic and integrated client care.
There are many benefits that will positively affect our clients including: · A more inviting environment which will make clients feel welcome and respected. · Clients will not have to move back and forth between different program locations to meet their multiple needs. · Through a move to one campus, client care will improve as a result of staff from different programs being better informed about the overall needs of each client and by having easy access to those staff who are serving different needs. · Client will have better access to their clinicians because they will be able to reach all services by calling a single number.
A consolidated campus will also positively affect our staff and operations including: · New service options which will develop as different programs recognize how they can work together to better serve each client. · Consolidation of support staff and maintenance/ mechanical services which will decrease costs. · Increased efficiency for ZV meetings and events. · Referral and follow-up will be improved.
The overall purpose for the move to one major campus is to provide a stable program environment for the next 20 years. We feel one campus for the majority of our programs will further our mission in providing “responsive, effective and affordable mental health and chemical health care.” |

We strive to meet the needs of all community members with mental and chemical health needs. We do this by constantly assessing and revising our services based on changes in knowledge about effective health treatment that improves the quality of peoples’ lives. We support these efforts by finding whatever ways are available to pay the costs of services, including public funds, private insurance, grants and donations to make services available to all those who are in need.
We are fully confident that this initiative will prove to have a major impact on the overall quality of services for our clients. There is a momentum now, a sense of timeliness. This is a courageous moment… a moment not for a few, so all are invited to share in the effort to make it possible.
